The above posters are idiots!!!! You do not HAVE to be samoan to get a samoan tattoo. Just like you dont have to be part of a tribe to get a tribal piece, you dont have to be Japanese to get a Japanese piece, you dont have to be a cyborg to get a bio mechanical piece. Tattooing is one of the only art forms that transcends geographic and racial boundaries allowing people of all cultures to experience the art of anothers culture. Many people have travelled to other countries and commemorated thier trips by getting the local style of tattooing. In fact the sailors from the BOUNTY got samoan tattoos when they first landed in the region. This is how tattooing first became popular in western culture. If those first sailors had never gotten tribal tattoos from the south pacific, none of us would be getting tattooed now.

Go ahead and get whatever style you want.
